My name is Jen, and I am the Owner/Operator of The Playpen. I have 20 years of experience in the corporate world in roles ranging from sales, management, customer service, and marketing. I have always dreamed of owning my own business but never could quite pinpoint what type of business it should be. In 2019 when I had my son, I noticed there were not a lot of opportunities in the area for children to do activities year-round. I decided in 2024 that it was time for me to put my years of business experience to the test. My goal is to offer our community a place for little ones to creatively play and party. I truly hope you find your experience at The Playpen as fun as I intend it to be.

Hello, my name is Amanda, and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and 12+ years of experience as a Head Start Teacher and Director. You will see me throughout the week leading the new Playpen Prep program for 2-4 year olds, along with the other services that are offered. I look forward to providing your children guidance, education and a super fun experience.

Hi there, I am Teri and I have over 20 years of experience in the childcare industry. During the week I run a daycare and will be helping out The Playpen on the weekends with play sessions and parties. I have three teenage daughters, so I am very familiar with the various stages of childhood. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones.

Hi! I am Courtney, and I have been working with children for over 15 years!  I will be helping at The Playpen on the weekends and with birthday parties! I have a degree in Childhood and Special Education from St. John Fisher. During the week, I am a Kindergarten teacher within the Rochester City School District.  I am a proud parent of two children, which gives me a personal understanding of children of all ages.  When I’m not at the Playpen, you can find me watching my children play the sports that they love! I look forward to meeting you and your families at The Playpen!

Hi, I am Sydney, and I am a college student at the University of Buffalo. I am working on a degree in business and early child education, and I have quite a bit of childcare experience. You will see me during school breaks and weekends. I look forward to interacting with your families and learning as much I can about operating a new business.
