Location: The Playpen (1205 Mayberry Place, Macedon, NY 14502)

Description:

The Playpen is a children’s activity center in Macedon, NY that focuses on open play, crafts, events and after school care for children ages 1-10. We are currently looking to hire a Care Coordinator that would be responsible for ensuring families receive a friendly, clean, safe, and creative environment to visit.

The Care Coordinator must be professional, organized, creative, friendly, and pay attention to detail and cleanliness. Initiative and a willingness to learn is a must. The weekend shift will often require hosting Birthday Parties or special events. If no parties/events are scheduled, The Playpen will be open for its normal Stay & Play and Drop & Go services.

Total Hours: 24-31 hours/week

Tentative Work Schedule (open to discussion)

• Sunday: Off
• Monday: Off
• Tuesday: 1:00pm-6:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am-12:00pm
• Thursday: 1:00pm-6:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am-12:00pm
• Saturday: 8:00am-3:00pm (may vary if party scheduled)

Compensation: $18-22 per hour (paid holidays if on a scheduled workday / 24 hours of paid time off)

Required Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience in an established childcare environment (daycare/activity center/nanny) working with children ages 1-10.
• Willing to solely take care of up to 6 children at a time for our drop off services (Ex. individualized play/feeding/changing diapers/etc.).
• Willing to manage phone calls, emails, and texts to service customers in a timely manner.
• Able to keep the facility sanitized and tidied up on a consistent basis.
• Able to create and conduct staff-led crafts and activities for the children.
• Able to contact food and supply vendors.
• Able to set up/decorate/host Birthday parties and special events.
• Must have professional social media experience (Instagram/Facebook/Tiktok)
• Must pass a background check and follow our employee policies.
• Must be CPR Certified.

Preferred Skills:

• Able to draw and paint custom party decorations
• Event management/hosting.
• Experience with sales or ticketing software.
